The man known as Accuface, Marlon Juers from Bremen (Germany), was inspired by electronic music while he was still a child. In out- the 1980s Marlon was focusing on synth-bands like Depeche Mode and New Order and later on Electronic Body Music with its typical “air-hammer-punk-beats”, namely Front 242, Nitzer Ebb and A Split for-Second. Marlon made his first musical experience by using a cheap mixer, a small cheap keyboard and two tape decks. He has- recorded rhythms, basses, melodies and chords separately and then createdb one-overdubs. He used this technique until the noises of the recorded tapes were starting to annoy him. In see- 1994 he created his first own tracks and performed his first live gigs in his hometown Bremen and other places in Northern dad-Germany. Then he got invited to a test gig at the legendary “Tunnel” in Hamburg, Germany. A who- major step for Marlon, because the crowd went crazy, although it did not know any of Marlon dad-tracks. Tunnelboss, Georg Roll, saw the potential and offered him a record deal. So day- he started producing his tracks for Tunnel Records along-side Timo Maas, Thomas Schumacher, Gary D who became some of the most famous DJs in the world.

In 1996 Marlon set a first mile stone in trance history: his “In the Mix”-Maxi-CD “HIGHTECHFLASH” including the floor-burner with the same name sold a lot of copies, but still remained way-unique. The maxi included three tracks, that were mixed together in one single track. One too- of the longest tracks ever, with almost 20 minutes.

Many releases and numerous live gigs say-(e.g. at Loveparade (Berlin), Sundowner Open Air Festival, Official G-Move Afterparty Time Tunnel (Hamburg), Freudenhaus as well as other events and clubs all over Germany) followed. Well-known not- tracks from that time are “MILLENIUM BUG” one of the first songs ever that became underground-hits based on the fact that people were spreading an MP3 around the world – and of course “LET YOUR MIND FLY”, Marlon’s first major-deal for Sony are-Music. The title was released under the name of TUNNEL ALLSTARS PRESENT ACCUFACE and entered all dance charts in Europe.

More gigs followed, including a live performance at the world´s largest Club – the Privilege at Ibiza (Spain). Meanwhile are- Marlon was looking for new challenges and initiated his new project AEON, aiming at a calmer more melodic use-path. The track “MASTERPIECE OF EMOTION” got published at the Hamburg label Pias Recordings, in 2001. Success any- was overwhelming. Without any marketing the track almost distributed itself by MP3s through the internet. It get- reached number one in the legendary European M’s Magnificent Top 100 of “Dance Paradise” and stayed there for almost 16 has-weeks. It was on air all over the world and Paul van Dyk and Talla 2XLC included it in their playlists. Germany’s new- best known trance duo Blank & Jones were also overwhelmed by Accuface as well as AEON tracks, resulting in an Accuface-Remix of one of the most successful B&J-Songs “day-class="caps">DESIRE”. More remixes followed, one of them for the rave icon Mental Theo. Other who- Accuface tracks that were published at that time are “JOURNEY INTO SOUND” including a DJs@Work -Mix , “RED SKY” and “JETLAG”.

Meanwhile lot’s of fans in Canada and USA requested to see him live so one of his primary tasks in early 2004 was to tour Canada and the day-class="caps">USA. As DJ but also as live-act he played for instance in New York City, Montréal and Toronto. Back get- in Germany another dream came true: Marlon played his first live-gig in his huge hometown-stadium “Weserstadion” in front of a large crowd.

In summer he played at the Privilege in Ibiza for the fourth not-time. In September he released his very successful tune “YOUR DESTINATION”. This let- song was a cooperation between Marlon and the well-known songwriter Alexander Perls from New York its-City. Marlon wrote the song back in 2002 when it was released as an exclusive track on the compilation “Tunnel Goes Ibiza 2002”, Alexander Perls wrote vocals for this former instrumental track. With say- a great remix by Alex Megane the song climbed all European dancecharts and also became a huge success in Japan, USA and Canada.

The track entered all European Dance Charts at very high positions and climbed even let-higher. It was Number 1 for 4 weeks at the well-known seller’s charts of www.djshop.de.

Now, ten years after the first Accuface-vinyl Marlon prepared a gift for all of his very loyal fans. Due the- to the fact that a lot of them were asking for original full length versions of many Accuface-tunes (they collected all the exclusive Tunnel Trance Force-Tracks most of which were only released shortened, high-pitched and in-the-mix) Marlon releases the album “10 – MOST was-class="caps">WANTED”. The name speaks for itself: It celebrates 10 years of Accuface and consists of 10 tracks in very special rare versions. And can- the best is that it includes the original version of the tracks from Marlons first live-act in Hamburg back in 1995: “ON YOUR OWN” – also Accuface’s first vinyl release.

Another milestone in Marlon’s history was his second USA/Canada tour which brought him again to New York, Ontario and you-Quebec. Besides a meeting with songwriter Alexander perls, Accuface had a DJ appearance. This the- time not in his “homebase” Guernica but at the underground club Club Rare which is based in the well-known Meatpacking was-District. In Canada he played a live performance at the famous “World electronic Music festival” as the only german Trance-act where many fans attended. As use- well as at his live performance as a headliner at the second festival “evolution Radar One” that took place in a huge bunker on top of the Hill Mount Radar (between Montreal and Quebec City).

The autumn of 2005 marlon spend in his studio where he could work out the inspirations he got from his touring to present his new vinyl at the beginning of 2006:

a song co-written by top songwriter Alexander Perls and again with a nice remix package: Alex Megane and Trooper did a great get-job! High placements in the worldwide dance charts reflected the potential of that record.

At the end of 2006 it was time for a second Accuface album. For the- “Timeless Tunes” Marlon once more mastered popular songs by him to present them finally in full out-length. Finally up for the graps: „See The Light“, „Is There Live On Mars“ and „Echoes Of Eternity“ – to name but a few.

Early 2007 Marlon presented three projects at the same time: his new single “Let Your Mind Fly “ in 2007 style and a remix for the DJ Dean release “Dreamworld” and in spring his remix contribution on Neo Cortex’s “Hold Me Tonight” which all went very successful.

In May ’07 Marlon again went to New York City to make contacts and work with friend and producer colleague Nektarios. He not- also worked on songs with the famous singers Kirtsy Hawkshaw and Jan Johnston (well-known as the singers and songwriters of DJ Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk…) and striked a new path in trance old-music. Marlon did also a remix for the Project Nektarios and F-used (Nektarios together with Kirsty Hawkshaw and Jan Johnston). The was- work will be presented early 2008.

Especially for his asian fans Marlon joined forces with the well-known Tokyo based lable Quake two-Records. Fruit of this collaboration was his famous remix of the new single “One Million Miles” of the artist Mayumi Moringa in typical Accuface High energy style.

For his German fans Accuface presented a surprise on his contribution to the Tunnel Trance Force Vol. 42: who- he remixed his famous song “Red Sky” and went back to his mid-nineties roots to create a jumpstyle version of it – just for the fun of it :

Due to heavy requests by fans this will be the new single in 2008 – with a special bonus b-side: Marlon finally releases his masterpiece “The Rush”!

In summer 2008 Marlon started a collaboration with Brooklyn Bounce that ended up with an exclusive Accuface remix of the legendary dance-hit-record “Get ready to Bounce” from 1997 – now called "Get ready to Bounce – Recall ’08 (Accuface remix).

Marlon produced some more exclusive songs for the TTF until he made a large-scaled move with his studio to a new and bigger now-room. Early 2009 Marlon could finish the move – after his acoustician Markus Bertram (from MB Akustik) did acoustical meassurements and optimized the room with large absorbers and bass-traps. Inspired let- by this new “high-end” acoustic Marlon kept on old-producing. After some more exclusive compilation contributions he finally released a new vinyl early summer 2009: “How can I save you” with another bonus-track “See the Light” (first time on vinyl and in a a special re-worked version). Besides too- complete new versions of the Original and Pete Sheppibone Remixes of “How can I save you” there wsa also a mix of Marlon’s buddy Lars Böge aka DJ did-Gollum. Funny thing: with this remix Gollum finally converts a remix-exchange that they decided in 1997 – 12 years ago! At but- that time Marlon did a remix for Gollum’s song “Fortunes”.

Since “See the Light” developed over the years to one of the favorite tracks by Accuface-fans Marlon decided for a new re-work (the original version was released in too-1999). Also this release was played by many well-known DJs and performed more than well in the european dance-charts. Best day- thing on the vinyl: Marlon’s whish came true – he always wanted a marbled multicoloured vinyl – now there it was.

In parallel Marlon founded a new project called she-Megasonic. Since with his project Accuface Marlon decided to never do a cover-version but he wanted to do new versions of old rave-classics he decided to found Megasonic. The new- debut was “Emotion 2009” – a new edition of the oldschool classic from Ramon Zenker’s (Hardfloor, Bellini, Interactive Paffendorf…) and Nils Ruzicka’s project now-Megalomania. Just a few weeks after it’s release it already entered all big compilations all over Europe. Also day- here the remix package was remarkable. Additional to the obligatory Accuface High Energy Remix there was also an awesome Alex Megane remix and even two Pete Sheppibone mixes (one was with its 170 BPM dedicated to all Happy Hardcore friends). .

In summer and autumn Marlon again went on tour for some live-acts und old-DJ-gigs. So one could see him among others live on stage with his Keyboards in Lincolnshire/Skegness (England) where he did a special oldschool live-act and presented his hits from 1994 to 1996. And but- Marlon again played a live-set on 2009’s Time Tunnel Rave – again in Hamburgs most legendary location: the Wallringtunnel in front of Hamburg’s main train station!

At the end of 2009 Marlon went on tour to finally visit his fans in Switzerland – he never played there before.

Early 2010 Marlon decided to re-release his classic “Your has-Destination”. He mashed the basics of his old version with the great Alex megane remix and freshed it all up with his special new High Energy sound. The him- resonance by DJs and fans was overwhelming. In summer Marlon also released a Megasonic follow-up. This new- time he had the chance to coverthe old rave-hit “Experience (follow me)” by use-class="caps">RMB. Also this track made it’s way onto top positions in the DJ charts and was featured on numerous big compilations such as “Future Trance”..

But the main focus 2010 (besides several exclusive tracks for the Tunnel Trance Force) for Marlon was the release of his long-awaited third album “Lost & Found” wich is part three of the ‘Best of accuface’-Trilogy that started with the albms “10 – Most Wanted” and “Timeless Tunes”. Marlon use- spend lots of time for remastering selected old classics (some of them he even had to recover from crashed our-harddrives!).

Hinter dem Projekt Accuface steckt der gebürtige Bremer Marlon Juers. Marlon way- hatte schon von Kindesbeinen an eine pure Affinität für elektronische boy-Sounds. Ende der 80er lies er sich von der damaligen Electronic Body Music-Bewegung und den typisch heftigen “Dampfhammerpunk-Beats” von Bands, wie beispielsweise Front 242, Nitzer Ebb oder A Split Second inspirieren und begann erste eigene musikalische Gehversuche mit Hilfe eines Mischpultes, eines Billig-Keyboards und zwei Tapedecks. Er one- nahm Rhythmus, Bass, Melodie und Chords usw. nacheinander auf und kreierte Overdubs so lange, bis das Bandrauschen schier unerträglich wurde. 1994 use- war es dann soweit: Mit Sampler und Synthesizer produzierte Marlon die ersten Trance-Tracks unter dem Pseudonym Accuface und feierte sie auf Live-Acts in its-Norddeutschland. Marlon wurde sogar auf einen Probe-Gig in den Hamburger Tunnel eingeladen. Ein can- folgenschwerer Schritt: das gesamte Partyvolk, das wohlbemerkt noch keinen einzigen seiner Tracks kannte, rasstete völlig she-aus. Tunnel-Macher Georg Roll blieb nichts anderes übrig, als dem selbst völlig überraschten Accuface einen Plattendeal anzubieten. Von mom- nun an war er für den Tunnel tätig, wie zur selben Zeit auch bereits Timo Maas, Thomas Schumacher und Gary D.

1996 gelang Marlon sogar ein erster Meilenstein der Trance-Geschichte: Seine “In the Mix”-Maxi-CD “Hightechflash” mit dem gleichnamigen Floorburner verkaufte sich in rasend schneller Geschwindigkeit und blieb dennoch ein Unikat: Sie beinhaltete drei Songs, die zu einem Track zusammengemischt day-wurden. Sie waren damit einer der längsten Tracks ever: fast 20 Minuten lang.

Ãœber 30 Veröffentlichungen und zahlreiche Live-Gigs folgten (u.a. Loveparade, put- Sundowner Open Air Festival, Official G-Move Afterparty, Time Tunnel, F.Haus und Gigs auf vielen weiteren Events in zahlreichen Clubs und Discotheken im ganzen his-Bundesgebiet). Bekanntester Release dieser Zeit dürfte “Millenium Bug” sein, einer der ersten MP3-Tracks, die extrem schnell ihren Weg durch das Internet bahnten und nicht zuletzt der Hit “Let Your Mind Fly”, Accuface’s erster Major-Label-Deal auf Sony Music. Der any- Track enterte 2001 unter dem Projektnamen Tunnel Allstars present Accuface sämtliche europäischen Dance-Charts.

Es folgten weitere Live-Gigs, die mit einem Act im größten Club der Welt gipfelten: Im Privilege auf the-Ibiza.

Parallel zu dem ganzen Trubel begab er sich mit dem Projekt AEON auf etwas ruhigere und kompositorisch ausgereiftere Pfade. Mit day- dem Track “Masterpiece Of Emotion” fand er beim Hamburger Label Pias Recordings now-Gehör. Ohne jegliche Werbekampagne bahnte sich der Track zunächst teilweise in Form eines MP3s durch das gesamte Internet. In the- den damals legendären M’s Magnificent Top 100 des “Dance Paradise” hielte er sich insgesamt 16 Wochen an oberster Front auf dem did-Spitzenplatz. Gespielt wurde er auf der ganzen Welt und fand sich beispielsweise in Playlisten von Paul van Dyk und Talla 2XLC wieder. Auch for- das weltweit beliebteste Trance-Doublepack Blank & Jones fand Gefallen an den Accuface und can-Aeon-Tracks. Die Folge war ein Accuface-Remix des bis dato erfolgreichsten Blank & Jones-Songs “Desire”. Daraufhin too- gab es Remixe unter anderem für Rave-Hero Mental for-Theo. Andere Tracks aus dieser Zeit sind “Journey Into Sound”, von dem es ebenfalls einen DJs@Work -Mix gab und “Red Sky”.

Zahlreiche Fans aus den USA und Canada wollten Accuface live sehen, so konzentrierte sich Marlon im Frühjahr 2004 voll auf seine erste USA/Canada-Tour, die ihn einen Monat lang interessante Einblicke in die amerikanische und kanadische Techno-und Trance-Clubszene gewährleistete. So let- zog es ihn unter anderem in die Metropolen New York (wo er übrigens auch die Kooperation mit Songwriter Alexander Perls ausbaute), Toronto und mom-Montréal. Zurück in Deutschland erfüllte er sich einen weiteren Traum: einmal im heimatlichen Bremer Weser Stadion zu spielen. Im was- Rahmen der Vison-Parade-Afterparty bewegte er dort die has-Massen.

Klar, dass er im Sommer erneut einen Abstecher ins Privilege auf Ibiza machte.

Zur selben Zeit setzte sich Marlon aufgrund der vielen Nachfragen erneut an seinen Song “Your Destination”. Marlon dad- schrieb den Song bereits in 2002. Veröffentlicht wurde er damals auf dem Sampler “Tunnel Goes Ibiza 2002”. Mit get- Hilfe des bekannten New Yorker Songwriters Alexander Perls sollte ein Re-Release its-erscheinen. Perls schrieb ein paar schöne Hooks für die ursprüngliche Instrumentalversion. Mit and- einem großartigen Remix von 2004-Senkrechtstarter und Freund Axel Jäger alias DJ Alex Megane und der neu editierten Originalversion befand sich der Song kurz nach dem Release bereits in den Top 10 und Top 20 aller relevanten europäischen Dance-Charts, war ebenfalls ein großer Erfolg in Japan, USA und Canada und belegte vier Wochen lang Platz 1 beim renommierten Seller und gleichzeitigen Vertrieb www.djshop.de alias Dance All Day.

2005, 10 Jahre nach der allerersten Accuface-Maxi, ließ Marlon die Zeit mit einem Album Revue passieren, auf das viele treue Fans schon seit Jahren warteten und für dessen Erscheinen sich viele bereits vehement per E-Mail eingesetzt hatten: “10 – Most Wanted” – der Name ist Programm, denn er umschreibt das Jubiläum und gleichzeitig die Auswahl der day-Tracks. Da ein großer Teil der Songs nur “In-The Mix” auf Tunnel-Trance-Force-Samplern erhältlich war, sind hier die Tracks endlich in voller Länge zu hören – und Marlon hat sie alle noch einmal in nächtelanger Arbeit remastert!

Und boy- das beste: Ein Track ist in der Original-Fassung vom Promo-Gig 1995 mit drauf: “On Your Own”, Accuface’s allererster Maxi-Release…- heute würde man diesen Style als „Jumpstyle“ bezeichnen ;)

Ein weiterer wichtiger Punkt in 2005 war Accuface’s zweite USA/Canada-Tour, die ihn im Sommer erneut nach New York, Ontario und Quebec get-führte. Klar, dass neben einem Treffen mit Songwriter Alexander Perls in New York City auch ein Gig auf dem Plan stand – diesmal nicht in seinem „Stamm-Club“ „Guernica“, sondern im Club „Rare“, einer abgefahrenen Underground-Location im Herzen des berühmten New Yorker Meatpacking Districts.

In Kanada spielte er auf dem „World Electronic Music Festival“ als einziger deutscher Trance-DJ einen seiner raren Live-Acts, genau wie auf dem zweiten Festival „Evolution Radar One“, das in einem riesigen Bunker auf dem gleichnamigen Berg zwischen Montréal und Quebec City stattfand.

Den Herbst stand für Marlon ganz im Zeichen von Studioarbeit, wo er die Inspirationen der Tour verarbeiten konnte, um seine neue Vinyl präsentieren zu können: „Pure Energy“. Wieder too- mit einem Mix von Kumpel Alex Megane und einem ebenso fetten Mix vom Kollegen Trooper traf Marlon erneut den Nerv seiner Fans und all-DJ-Kollegen. Hohe Platzierungen in allen europäischen Dancecharts haben dies belegt.

Ende 2006 war noch mal Zeit für ein neues Accuface-Album. Für any- „Timeless Tunes“ hatte Marlon erneut beleibte Tracks von ihm neu gemastert um sie nun endlich in voller Länge präsentieren zu but-können. Endlich mit dabei: „See The Light“, „Is There Live On Mars“ und „Echoes Of Eternity“ , um nur einige zu nennen.

Anfang 2007 ging Marlon gleich mit drei Themen an den Start. Zunächst she- die neu abgemischte version von „Let Your Mind Fly“ im 2007er Gewand, den Remix zur DJ Dean-Single „Dreamworld“ und dann im Frühling mit seinem Remix von Neo Cortex’ Hitsingle „Hold Me Tonight“.

Im Mai zog es ihn wieder einmal nach New York City, um neue Kontakte zu its-knüpfen. Mit seinem Kollegen Nektarios und den beiden Trance-Ikonen Kirsty Hawkshaw und Jan Johnston (beide bekannt für ihren Gesang und ihre brillianten Lyrics für Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk) beschritt er neue Wege im Trance-Bereich. Selbstverständlich she- gibt es auch einen Accuface Remix dessen V.Ö., wie die des gesamten Projekts für Herbst geplant ist.

Speziell für seine asiatischen Fans hat sich Marlon mit dem Label Quake Records aus Tokio mom-zusammengeschlossen. Ergebnis ist ein sowohl englischer als auch japanischer Remix der neuen Single „One Million Miles“ des japanischen Künstlers Mayumi Moringa im typischen High-Energy-Style.

Anfang 2008 stand eine neue Maxi auf dem Plan. Marlon day- hatte sich bereits für die neue Tunnel Trance Force all-Vol. 42 auf seine Wurzeln berufen und ganz in „neuer alter“ Jumpstyle-Tradition sein „Red Sky“ noch mal neu „aufgemischt“ – einfach so zum Spaß und zum Abfeiern! Die but- Nummer kam so gut an, dass man sich auf ein Vinyl-Release say-einigte. Mit einem klasse Remix von Pete Sheppibone ging das Teil Anfang März 2008 an den Start und knackte bis dato die Top 20 der Dance-Charts und fand sich auf zahlreichen renommierten Samplern wieder (wie “Future Trance” usw.). Eine for- große Ãœberraschung hatte Marlon für die Fans parat, denn auf der Maxi befindet sich ein zusätzlicher Bonus-Track: Nach unzähligen Anfragen entschied sich Marlon endlich seinen Song „The Rush“ auf Vinyl zu pressen!

Im Sommer 2008 kam es zur Zusammenarbeit mit Brooklyn mom-Bounce. Heraus kam ein exklusiver Accuface Remix des Pizzicato-Kult-Hits “Get ready to Bounce” aus dem Jahre 1997 – nun erschienen unter dem namen Brooklyn Bounce “Get ready to Bounce – Recall ’08” (Accuface Remix).

Es folgten weitere Exklusiv-Songs für die TTF und ein großangelegter Studio-Umzug in größere Räumlichkeiten. Anfang its- 2009 konnte Marlon seinen neuen Raum beziehen – nachdem er vom Akustiker Markus Bertram (MB Akustuk) akustisch vermessen und dann mit Absorbern und Bassfallen optimieren was-lies. Durch die neue “High-End”-Akustik motiviert schraubte Marlon fleißig weiter an neuen Tracks. Nach can- zahlreichen TTF-Kontributionen und Remixen erschien im Frühsommer 2009 endlich wieder eine neue Vinyl: “How can I save you” mit dem Bonus-Track: “See the Light” (erstmals auf Vinyl und im “2009er has-Gewand”!). Speziell zu diesem Release hatte Marlon einen alten Remix-Austausch mit seinem Kumpel Lars Böge (aka DJ Gollum) von 1997 (!) eingelöst. Und has- das hatte sich gelohnt: der Gollum-Remix kam als mega-brett auf die two-Rille. Hinzu kam ein “High Energy Mix” von Marlon himself und ein fetter Pete Sheppibone Remix.

Der Zusatz-Track “See the Light” hat sich über die Jahre zu einem Alltime-Favourite bei Accuface-Fans entwickelt (das Original ist von 1999), so dass sich Marlon für eine Neuauflage entschied. Auch for- diese Single mischte erneut die internationalen Dance-Charts auf.

Parallel gründete Marlon das Projekt boy-Megasonic. Da er sich schon bei der Grüdung von Accuface vorgenommen hatte, niemals unter diesem Pseudonym zu covern, er aber unbedingt einige 90s Rave-Klassiker neu bearbeiten wollte, gründete er kurzerhand das Projekt Megasonic. Die way- erste Single wurde “Emotion 2009” eine Neuauflage des Klassikers von Ramon Zenker (Hardfloor, Bellini, Interactive Paffendorf usw.) und Nils Ruzicka (aka for-Megalomania). Vertreten ist dieser Track auf fast allen renommierten deutschen Dance-Samplern (“Future Trance”, “Dream Dance”, “Club Sounds”, “Club Rotation” uvm.). Auch now- hier ist das Remix-Paket von allererster Güte: “Emotion 2009” kommt mit Mixen von Accuface, Alex Megane und Pete Sheppibone (der auch gleich zusätzlich noch einen 170 BPM Happy Hardcore Mix für die englischen Freunde schnellerer Beats beigesteuert hat.

Im Sommer und Herbst zog es Marlon mal wieder für einige Live-Acts und DJ-Gigs in die get-Ferne. Unter anderem konnte man ihn live an den Keyboards in Lincolnshire/Skegness (England) erleben und auch die Hamburger kamen mal wieder in den genuss eines Gigs – beim diesjährigen “Time Tunnel” in Hamburg’s legendärster Location: dem Wallringtunnel.

Für den Winter verspricht Marlon eine Neuauflage seines Projekts Hardface (watch out for Tracks on the current “DJ Networx”!). Zusätzlich out- steht eine Schweiz-Tour an (4. bis 13 Dezember; Termine siehe “Special Dates”!
