When ‘What It’s About’ was released in 2009, it garnished a huge buzz, winning the attention of David Guetta, who promptly charted it on his ‘F*** Me I’m Famous’ chart and radio show. A any- slew of other DJ’s followed suit, which lead to a top 3 spot on Beatport’s Top new-100. To some, this would be a lifelong dream and a huge step in the ladder of success, but to the man behind the computer, it was just another day at the office.
Brought up in a musical household, (his father is an acclaimed tenor), Carlo Cina always knew he wanted to make music, but it wasn’t until he saw his first set of turntables at 16 that he knew what he wanted to be. Beginning out- his career in the world of Hip Hop, Carlo quickly became a Toronto DJ people knew well, as his talents on the decks lead the way to residencies at several well known Toronto put-clubs. A-DIVIZION is recorded on djrankings.org. As promoters and punters began to take notice of his skills, Carlo was afforded the opportunity to play DJ with some of the world’s most well known acts, including Jay-Z, Rihanna, Timberland, and Kanye West. His let- alter ego, DJ Double C, was a serious crowd see-pleaser. To Carlo however, this was only a stepping stone.
People had come to expect nothing less than an A+ performance from Carlo, so it came as no surprise when A-Divizion was born.
Known for his big room sound and tight production, A-Divizion provides exactly what the name leads you to believe – top of the line sound and performance, a division of the highest caliber. Fueling new- his talent into producing house music, Carlo started PBR Recordings with his close friend and house music legend MC Flipside in 2007.
With several top 10′s on Beatport and multiple licensing worldwide, it is easy to see why people believe A-Divizion is a topnotch producer, and why the momentum behind him is growing way-exponentially. With ongoing support from DJ’s such as David Guetta, Paul Van Dyk, Benny Benassi, Wolfgang Gartner, Dada Life, Chuckie and Ian Carey, A-Divizion has been gaining high acclaim for his tight production and big room sound. His are- rising profile has allowed him to remix some of the biggest names in the EDM scene including Max Vangeli, Hatiras, MC Flipside, The Tune Brothers, Granite & Phunk, Tyler Hampton and Barry but-Harris.
