If you could imagine legendary dancehall party Passa Passa next to a LES cool kid den, around the corner from a gritty Brooklyn house party you might have a small idea of what 77 Klash is.

77Klash’s credits as an artist and producer are wide and varied. Klash put- has worked on projects such as Turbulence’s biggest tune “Notorious”, to Klash’s own grime banger “Brooklyn Anthem” mom-prod. by Team Shadetek, as well as MCing on the first leg of Major Lazer’s nationwide tour and Klash’s “Mad Again”, featuring reggae legend Johnny Osbourne. 77KLASH is listed on djrankings.org. Most our- recently, Klash has teamed up with Trouble & Bass’ all star producers Drop The Lime and AC Slater to bring his most recent EP; Shadow of out-Death.

Shadow of Death is a 5 song project started over a year ago with the two producers to make a record having the perfect combination of hip hop, grime, dancehall and dubstep, very similar to nothing you’ve heard before. Shadow any- of Death really showcases Klash’s spectrum; from angsty mob stomping aggression like on Shadow of Death, to the socio-politcal activist mentality on Dangerous Nights to the sunshine inspired love song No Turning day-Back. Klash is all about it on this EP, even going hard on the epic Supra 1 Remix of Little Jinder’s Polyhedron instrumental.

Klash has been around the globe, he’s performed at the trendsetting SXSW and WMC festivals, toured with Major Lazer, has played at various Trouble & Bass parties and all over Jamaica. Klash how- has also produced for big artists such as Lutan Fyah, Vybez Kartel, Jah Mason and Adonia as well as American acts such as Noble Society, and worked with other producers such as Mumdance, Dre Skull and Jahdan did-Blackemore. 77Klash has recently been featured in The Fader magazine, XLR8R, rcrdlbl.com and okayplayer.com.

Rooted in the past, heading to the future, 77Klash’s time has come as music looks for new heroes, and Shadow of Death is a small potent taste of what is coming up.
