Started off with a Hercules RMX soon after added a used mpd16, Korg nanopad and an Akai MPKmini. Using VirtualDJ.200722_10150118080458507_3133392_n.jpg
Hercules got old quick as did VDJ, found a used VCI 100SE arcade online for a sweet deal.218254_10150168966603507_4998818_o.jpg
Switched over to Traktor and added a Midifighter classic265835_10150241283418507_54868_o.jpg
Customized the MPD16 and did the ghetto electrical tape under the pads to improve sensitivity trick. It actually worked.256066_10150210425588507_2322158_o.jpg
Bought a bunch of sanwa buttons from China and started changing things up257782_10150202980408507_550106_o.jpg322911_10150287854333507_157303_o.jpg
Maschine added 468308_10150723136278507_1373454364_o.jpg
Homemade Maschine woodgrain trim added. Oak 468843_10150670389348507_1960186469_o.jpg
Wanted to get a 4 deck controller, coming from the beast that was the 100SE, I went with the VCI400//EGE

No problem, real simple. I want to build a controller that incorporates the xy pad and some of the extra arcade buttons I have around. Thats the grand plan.

Very simple. Open up the Nanopad. You'll see that the Pads and the XY section are on totally different PCBs only attached by a ribbon cable. You can actually detach the ribbon cable easily and the XY pad is still functional. I just took a hacksaw to the plastic housing and cut the pad section completely out. Cut a small piece out of the scrape to cover the now open side of the XY pad.
Back when I was using windows, I could never get the pads to respond at all. XY pad worked fine. So I said screw it and ripped it apart.

Looks awesome in the dark but also very functional. I usually never have a problem playing in a very dark booth. Always bring a flashlight though as its a pain setting up in the pitch dark. Thanks for the comments guys. Adding the homemade wood trim to my maschine made it stand out a bit from every other generic maschine out there.
